PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pile holder, a pile maintaining device, a joint method of piles and a lateral vibration preventer of pile capable of efficiently carrying out work of connection or the like of pile having different diameters in a working site. ;SOLUTION: A contact section 5 is connected in a rotatable manner (neck shakeable manner) in the vertical direction to the front end of a holding member 4 pivoted on a rotational shaft 3 of a base section 2 in a rotatable manner in the vertical direction. Both right and left contact bodies 21 are pivoted on a holding body 20 of the contact section 5 in a horizontally rotatable manner with rotatational shafts 25 in a plan view. The contact bodies 21 are contacted to the drum surface of a pile 10 to hold the pile 10.
