PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for conveying excavated sediment which enable the efficient and safe conveyance of excavated sediment to an earth lifting point even in a small space in excavation work adapting earth- retaining strut construction method. ;SOLUTION: In conveying excavated sediment in excavation work adopting earth-retaining strut construction method, a frameless type conveyor 1 having wire ropes attached to both side edges of a belt main body made of a flexible member is used. For every several spans of struts H, the conveyor 1 is hung and supported on each strut H by a belt supporting structure 5 and the sediment conveyed to the conveyor 1 by a loading device is horizontally conveyed to an shipping site by the conveyor 1.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
