The composition comprises a quaternary ammonium compound selected from alkyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium halide, alkyl dimethyl ethylbenzyl ammonium halide or mixtures thereof, and a source of alkalinity present in an amount of at least 2500ppm providing a pH range from 8-14. A method of cleaning which uses this composition is also described.
