1. The tunnel water cooler is designed for cooling water from air-conditioning units used for cooling air in deep-mine headings. The cooler cools hot water from the air-conditioning units down directly in the ventilation air streams. Unique characteristics: It consists of a cascading set (3) of radiator plates (3a and 3b), mounted in the dog heading (1) and equipped with water nozzles (8) and at least one collecting gutter (10a, 10b) for cooled-down water. The plates are surrounded with the elastic screen (11), fixed on top and at the sides. The cascading set (3) of radiator plates (3a and 3b) consists of identical profiled metal sheets, rectangular in shape. The sheets are alternately inclined at the angle adjustable in the range between 4 degrees and 7 degrees with respect to the horizontal-transversal axis of the dog heading (1). Their grooves (4) are perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the dog heading (1). The radiator plates (3a) installed at one side of the cascading set (3) are fixed in series with their top ends to the side chain (5a), attached to one side of the heading timbering (2). They are horizontally shifted by 10 percent of their width with respect to the radiator plates (3b) installed at the other side of the cascading set (3), fixed in series with their top ends to the second side chain (5b), attached to the other side of the heading timbering (2). Along the vertical axis of the dog heading (1), the radiator plates (3a and 3b) are attached, alternately and in series, on both sides of the cascading set (3), to the central chain (7), fixed with the binding joist (6) to the top of the heading timbering (1).
