The wall elements comprises a main layer (28) of high tensile strength, fibre-reinforced concrete containing at least three interspaced woven steel mesh reinforcing fabrics, and a surface layer (29) of concrete. The building is made from pre-fabricated concrete elements and is especially useful for storage goods which are environmentally harmful or highly susceptible to theft. The building is constructed from wall elements, roof elements (11) and preferably floor elements (10), each element comprising a piece of high tensile strength, highly reinforced concrete. The elements are releasably joined together internally by connector rods (25), and also by concrete joining material (19, 23) cast in situ into the joints (20, 21) between adjacent elements. The foundation, preferably a prefabricated floor element, has a peripheral groove (20) in its top side, into which concrete joining material is cast before inserting the wall elements. The joint surfaces intended to be in contact with the concrete joining material are pre-treated in order to improve adhesion.
