Gene expression of the genetic material of cellularmaterial or an organism is regulated or inhibited byincorporating in or along with the genetic material of thecellular material or organisms DNA or other geneticmaterial which transcribes to an RNA which is complementaryto and capable of binding to the mRNA of thegenetic material of said organism. Gene expression orregulation of a gene is controlled by expressing a DNAfragment or replica of said gene inserted or positionedafter a promoter in the opposite direction relative to thegene so as to regulate or inhibit the expression of saidgene.
