The invention relates to pangenomic nucleic acid libraries. The members of each library represent every gene encoding a functional protein. The invention also includes methods of producing such libraries using specific vectors (see figure 3 for schematic representation of the vectors used) and using such libraries in diagnostic and screening methods.
