The machining center has a tool table (1) with spindles (2), and a first work piece carrier (3) moveable along at least two movement axis (X,Y). A second work piece carrier (4) is used and moved along the two axis, independently of the first carrier, during charging, processing, and removal of parts. Two rows of spindles are positioned opposite to each other in the same plane. The carriers are positioned behind each other and each has a clamping device (6).
