METHOD OF DISTINGUISHING INTERNAL ARC AND CIRCUIT-BREAKING ARC IN CIRCUIT BREAKER OF INTERMEDIATE VOLTAGE OR HIGH VOLTAGE

PURPOSE: A method of distinguishing an internal arc and a circuit breaking arc in a circuit breaker of an intermediate voltage or a high voltage is provided to economically form a part of an electric sub station in a simple way. CONSTITUTION: A method of distinguishing an internal arc and a circuit-breaking arc in a circuit breaker of an intermediate voltage or a high voltage comprises the steps of: consecutively measuring the pressure of dielectric gas inside the sealing part of the circuit breaker; writing the measured pressure to restore a first pressure value measured before separation order after the separation order is delivered; and distinguishing the internal arc inside the sealing part by comparing a second pressure value measured after the separation order with the first pressure value.
