PURPOSE: A fiber-optic current sensor compensating band-induced birefringence is provided to improve an accuracy by compensating a bend-induced change. CONSTITUTION: An optical fiber is protected in a tube type holder(12) by an epoxy. A splice portion is formed between a sensing optical sensor and an input optical fiber(14) by a fusion splicing. An other splice portion(40) is arranged near the splice portion. A tube(40) has an outer diameter to be identical to an outer diameter of the tube type holder(12). An epoxy protects the input optical fiber(14) using the tube(40). An output optical fiber(16) is attached to other side end of the sensing optical sensor. One terminal of the sensing optical sensor is projected from a first terminal portion of the tube type holder(12). Other terminal of the sensing optical sensor is projected from a second terminal portion of the tube type holder(12).
