PURPOSE: A method for automatically recording adult broadcasting in case of receiving adult broadcasting in TVCR is provided to easily record an adult broadcasting by checking a certain channel for providing an adult broadcasting program and automatically recording the adult broadcasting program when the adult broadcasting program is provided. CONSTITUTION: A microprocessor judges as to whether a TVCR is converted into a stand-by mode(300). The microprocessor controls a tuner unit for tuning a channel as a predetermined certain channel when the TVCR is converted into the stand-by mode(302). A VPS/PDC detecting unit reads a VPS/PDC data inserted into a certain horizontal line interval and provides the VPS/PDC data to the microprocessor(304). The microprocessor judges as to whether an adult broadcasting code is existed among the VPS/PDC data provided from the VPS/PDC detecting unit(306). The microprocessor controls a record signal processing unit and a deck unit and records a broadcasting signal received from the tuning unit to a video tape when the adult broadcasting code is existed among the VPS/PDC data (308).
