PURPOSE: A wireless network design for trunked radio system using an AVL(Automatic Vehicle Location) service and an optimization method therefor are provided to carry out a wireless network design efficiently using the AVL service and to improve the quality of calls by giving the first consideration to subscribers in the optimization work. CONSTITUTION: If locations of mobile station vehicles are transferred to an associated base station, the base station calculates the location data and a receiving level to transmit to a control station. Based on the transmitted value, the control station comprehends the traffic distribution and coverage of vehicles and adjusts the output power of the base station. Then, the control station calculates the path loss of a wireless section between the mobile station and the base station, using the receiving level. Path environment data base, based on the calculated path loss, is carried out, so as to be utilized as network design data.
