A waste water treatment station has an inlet gully (2) in which solid objects are removed by a rising screen (4) placed transversely in the gully. A longitudinal screen (8) has a grid essentially aligned with the gully and positioned upstream from the transverse screen. The longitudinal screen surrenders its rakings directly to the rising transverse screen. A high-water bypass (12) outlet leaves the gully upstream of the rising screen. The bypass has an overflow rim (14) positioned at a predetermined height above the bottom of the gully. The longitudinal screen covers the lower part of the bypass inlet.
