Herbicide combination comprises N-(N-(pyrimidinyl or triazinyl)aminocarbonyl)-2-aminocarbonyl-5-acylamino-benzenesulfonamides (I) and herbicide(s) (II) with selective foliar and soil activity against monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous plants, those selectively active against dicot weeds (in cereal and some dicot crops), and/or those active against monocot and dicot weeds non-selectively or in tolerant crops. New herbicide combination comprises: (A) one or more compounds of formula (I) or their salts: R1, R2 = H or 1-4C alkyl; R3 = H or a 1-4C alkyl, 1-4C alkoxy, 2-4C alkenyloxy, 2-4C alkynyloxy or 3-6C cycloalkyl group optionally substituted by one or more of halogen, CN, 1-4C alkoxy and 1-4C alkylsulfonyl; X, Y = halogen or 1-4C alkyl, 1-4C alkoxy or 1-4C alkylthio groups (optionally substituted by one or more of halogen, 1-4C alkoxy and 1-4C alkylthio) but are not both halogen; Z' = CH or N; and (B) one or more herbicides (II) selected from: (B1) herbicides with selective foliar and soil (residual) activity against monocot and dicot plants in cereal and some dicot crops; (B2) herbicides with selective activity against primarily dicot weeds in cereal and some dicot crops; and (B3) herbicides that are active against monocot and dicot crops and are suitable for nonselective weed control or for weed control in specifically tolerant crops. An Independent claim is also included for a method for controlling weeds, comprising applying (I) and (II), together or separately, pre- and/or post-emergence, to the plants, parts of the plants, seeds or soil.
