Water filter for swimming pool and industrial coolant circuits has copper insert preventing growth of algae

A swimming pool and bathing water floating filter consists of a skimmer incorporating a laminar filter. The laminates comprise a filter sponge, a copper packing, filter pad and a second filter sponge, together forming a filter cushion. The copper filter packing (5) layer comprising copper wool pad, woven copper wire, or a copper sieve, and represents 35-70 % of the filter thickness of the filter housing. The filter is used in association with CuSO4 dissolved in the water at 10-40 g/m3.
