During regeneration of an alumino-silicate molecular sieve gas dryer, the adsorber material (39) is heated by a heater element (14) and the desorbed material is discharged from the dryer housing under its own partial pressure. During regeneration, the downstream outlet to the user device is preferably closed by a valve (34). The drying bed may be separated by a thermally conducting wall (40) from the heater which is preferably an electric unit. Independent claims are also included for: (i) a regeneratable dryer having a housing (10) containing an adsorbent bed (12,39) through which the gas to be dried is passed, and a heater unit (14,38,46) located within the bed and separated from the gas flow by a wall (40); and (ii) an ozone generator utilizing dry air from the above dryer. Preferred Features: The dryer is of cylindrical configuration with a central regeneration heater unit surrounded by an annular adsorbent bed.
