The burner head of the twist burner has a central crown of axial through passage holes for the flame-holding portion of the fed fuel-air mixture. It also has a ring-shaped opening fitted with guide blades for the main flow of the fuel-air mixture feeding the main flame. At least one external through passage channel is provided for a gas mixture fed for stabilising the main flame edge. The burner head is formed from parts insertable one in the other (10,14,22), of which the innermost part (10) is a body provided with through passage holes. The central part (14) is a bearing bush (16) on which guide blades (18) are fixed or formed. The outer part (22) is a double tube with through passage channels (28).
