A fine-focus X-ray tube is positioned in a catheter head outside a patient. The focus of the X-ray tube is placed at the start of a flexible X-ray wave conductor arrangement in the form of a catheter at the end of which is a dispersion appliance for X-radiation for defined, isotropic emission. A dose rate meter has a transducer connected to a control and regulator for the radiation energy and the radiation flow of the X-ray tube.
