The system includes a unit for heating the water in a bath (4) using steam in the region of the base of the bath and-or a unit for producing or supplying steam in the region of the bath base and-or at least at the inside of the bath. A selected substrate (30) on which the person (2) lies is arranged directly at the body of the person and-or on the supporting unit (28). Several pipe lines (6) through which steam flows, are integrated at the base of the bath or in the base running to the bath base, in order to heat water admitted in the bath (4).
