The paving slab has profiled edges which interlock with adjacent slabs to form a support surface for loads and to prevent the formation of large gaps in the paving. The curved profiles have different curvatures to lock the adjacent slabs together while allowing some flexing. The interlocking system maintains gaps between the slabs for drainage. For larger slabs the surface is grooved with a crossed pattern to simulate smaller slabs and to provide break lines for heavy loading.
