A copolymer latex for use as an adhesive for rubber-metal bonding contains a copolymer with (A) 90.0-97.0 wt% 2,3-dichloro-1,3-butadiene units, (B) 1.5-5.0 wt% 1,2-dichloro-1,3-butadiene units and (C) 1.5-5.0 wt% 1,3-dichloro-1,3-butadiene units. An Independent claim is also included for a process for the production of this latex by emulsion polymerisation of a mixture of the above monomers in the amounts given, in presence of a radical initiator.
