The aim of the invention is to make better use of the space in a car park. To this end, the inventive car park has marked parking spaces (A-D) of different sizes and aisles of different widths for the vehicle sizes within a particular range, devices (6) for determining the sizes of approaching vehicles and devices (5; 7; 9; 13) for directing the vehicles to the parking spaces (A-D) provided for vehicles of that size.
