PURPOSE: To obtain a device capable of obtaining the image of high resolution without damaging lower interchangeability. ;CONSTITUTION: In an HD telecine device 2, one frame of a video film 1 is converted to a hi-vision image signal for one frame to be down-converted to a conventional television image signal by a down-converter 4.
