The method for frequency doubling involves decreasing of local intermediate frequency (IF) in units of a first frequency by a predetermined number of times, with a sequential increase of the channel frequency. Subsequently there is an increase of local radio frequency (RF) in units of a second frequency so that the local intermediate frequency is decreased the predetermined number of times. The first frequency is equal to 50 kHz, and the second frequency is 25 kHz. The prescribed numbers are 5 and 2 respectively. Independent claims are included for a frequency doubling circuit for a frequency synthesizer.
