A disposable safety syringe comprising a syringe body (1) with weakening-groove which allows intentional breakage near the needle connector, is new. This is ruptured by turning and pulling the piston (2). The needle (3), together with its boss and the broken-off needle connector, are withdrawn into the body, covering the sharp tip.
