PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for examining microorganisms, capable of detecting the microorganisms in a short time without inhibiting the proliferation of the microorganisms, without deteriorating a color indicator due to the affection of a culture medium, and without being affected by the color of an examination target. ;SOLUTION: This method for examining microorganisms comprises receiving a liquid culture medium 7a for the microorganisms and a carbon dioxide-coloring indicator 8a in a vessel 3a, while disposing a carbon dioxide-penetrable membrane but shutting the culture medium therebetween, charging an examination target into the liquid culture medium 7a, closing the vessel 3a and subsequently observing the presence or absence of the coloring reaction of the indicator 8a.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
