CITY WATER PIPE JOINT WITH WATER SHUT-OFF DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a city water pipe joint offering small and compact construction in a general-purpose single product for connecting a washing machine hose. SOLUTION: A through-hole 14 is made in a pipe joint body 1 having a threaded portion 9 at the upstream side, a spigot portion 15 at the downstream side and a locking ball groove 17 at the center. The city water pipe joint IA having a poppet valve 3 seated on or separated from a valve seat 12A provided on the way of the through-hole 14 in fitting a compression coil spring 4 through a valve stem 7 of the poppet valve 3 for carrying the poppet valve 3 to be seated. The spring constant of the compression coil spring 4 is decreased to be smaller and the valve stem 7 is formed in a hollow cut-out shape with its free end at the downstream side for assuring a flow rate and small and compact construction in a single product.
