ROAD PLAN DESIGN AIDING SYSTEM AND RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to design a road plan utilizing present topographical data, examine present topography in advance and verify a design result accurately and feed it back. ;SOLUTION: A road plan design aiding system generates present birds-eye data on the basis of present three-dimensional(3D) data expressing present topography and generates 3D planning data expressing topography obtained after applying a road plan on the basis of the road plan. Birds-eye planning data are prepared on the basis of the 3d planning data. When a birds-eye view is prepared from individual birds-eye data, the present topography can be previously examined, planned design ground can be three-dimensionally observed and the suitability of the ground, harmony with peripheral environment, etc., can be visually verified. The present 3D data are random measured data or contour data and are faithfully reflected on a birds-eye view. Since a landscape simulation image corresponding to the birds-eye data can be dynamically displayed, previous examination or the verification of the design result can be more accurately executed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
