PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To connect structures to each other without requiring a large amount of labor, by providing a hydraulic joint part jointing a floating body to another structure utilizing hydrostatic pressure. ;SOLUTION: A module SSM is constituted by a floating body 10 having predetermined buoyancy in water, a surface body 11 which is provided on water at an upper part of the floating body 10, and a plurality of struts 12 connecting the floating body 10 to the surface member 11. The floating body 10 and the surface body 11 are respectively provided with joint parts 13, 14 for connection of other module SSM. A jointing system utilizing hydraulic pressure is adopted in the joint part 13 of the floating body 10, and a joint system utilizing atmospheric pressure is adopted in the joint part 14 of the surface body 11. By carrying out jointing under water using hydrostatic pressure, working labor and workhours can be remarkably reduced. In addition, since the joint utilizing the atmospheric pressure is carried out at over sea, joint state can be surely held. Further, joint operations at the joint part 13 and the joint part 14 are simultaneously performed, whereby workhours can be reduced.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
