PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize the amount of surplus soil to be treated as for the construction of a concrete foundation for a snowslide/falling stone guard fence and reduce the amount of excavation itself. ;SOLUTION: When constructing concrete foundations 16 and 17 for a main post 14 and a support post 15 for a falling stone guard fence 11, a plurality of arc-shaped corrugated sheets 28 are connected in the circumferential direction at the positions where foundation holes 18 and 19 for a slope face 1 are to be bored, thereby assembling a cylinder-shaped form 29. While being excavated, the cylinder-shaped form 29 is lowered gradually and then concrete is placed as the concrete foundations 16 and 17. A weir board 33 is spanned between the exposed areas exposed from each slope face of the concrete foundation of the main post 14 which adjoins in the transverse direction of the slope face 1. The weir board 33 is spanned between the concrete foundations 17 of the support posts 15 as well. Both ends of the weir board 33 are mounted on the outside surface of the cylinder-shaped form 29 on the valley side of the slope face. The foundation holes 18 and 19 are filled up with the discharged soil when excavated in the crest side of the slope face of the weir board 33. The discharged soil is used as a filling, thereby reducing the amount of surplus soil to be treated to a satisfactory extent.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
