PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superconducting wiggler exciting method and a superconducting wiggler using this method, capable of suppressing the consumption of very low temperature coolant for cooling a superconducting element, continuously operating the superconducting wiggler for a long time, and easily controlling a magnetic field level. ;SOLUTION: A mobile magnetic field type flux pump 1 in which a superconducting disc part 17 is set inside a very low temperature coolant bath, and a magnet rotor part 15 is set outside the bath is arranged, the magnet rotor is rotated, magnetic flux is accumulated in a superconducting circuit, and a superconducting coil connected to the superconducting disc is excited. A magnet rotor of the magnet rotor part 15 has a horizontal arm, and permanent magnets are preferable to be fixed to both ends of the arm in the different polarity direction.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
