PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle side part monitor device by which danger in the collision of a vehicle with an object is correctly judged by judging the danger of the collision based on the mutual movements of the vehicle and the object. SOLUTION: An object detecting means 51a detects the position of the object in the side part of the vehicle at every prescribed time, an object prediction locus calculating means 51b calculates a predicted locus based on the position of the detected object at every prescribed time, a vehicle predicted locus calculating means 51c calculates the predicted locus of the vehicle and a danger judging means 51d judges whether danger exists in the collision of the vehicle with the object or not based on the calculated predicted loci of the object and the vehicle.
