PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively use an external storage device with limited capacity which is used to collect exceptional information. ;SOLUTION: An exceptional information management table 3 contains program information, execution address, and cause code of an exceptional event as information on an exceptional event generated in a computer system. A program monitoring means 11 monitors the states of programs 2-1 to 2-n and informs a dump information monitoring means 12 that an exceptional event occurs in such a case. The dump information managing means 12 informs a dump information deleting/storing means 13 of a deletion indication for dump information 5 if an exception has occurred to the same program in the same execution address by the same cause in the past.
