PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use straws as raw materials, improve the quality of appearance of tassels, to improve workability by simplifying preparation work, and to improve efficiency in manufacturing. ;SOLUTION: A large number of straws of approximately the same length provided with stalks with a plurality of joints 11 at intervals are used. The large number of straws are longitudinally, approximately symmetrically arranged and bundled into a small rope 20 with their phases displaced from one another so that the right and left ends of the small rope 20 may become thin and its center may become thick. Then a plurality of small ropes 20 are twisted and twined together into a sacred straw rope main body 21, and tassels 30 are symmetrically suspended at predetermined intervals along the length of the sacred straw rope main body 21. The tassel 30 is prepared by using only a plurality of stalks with the remaining first joints 11a from the tips of straws, making the straws with the same length between their end parts on the straw root side and the first joints 11a, and bundling their end parts on the tip side.
