PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems such as concentration, activity, orientation, etc., which conventional protein immobilization method has. ;SOLUTION: This calix crown derivative useful for immobilizing a protein monomolecular layer and essential for producing a self-assembly monomolecular layer is represented by chemical formula (1), chemical formula (2) or chemical formula (3). This method for synthesizing the derivatives is provided. This self-assembly monomolecular layer is produced by immersing a gold substrate or a related metal substrate metallized in vacuum in an organic solvent.
