PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relieve burden on a software development manager and to surely transmit information regarding software development to development consignment destination without delay. ;SOLUTION: In this system for assisting development of software, a system at a development confinement origin for integrally managing the software development is connected with a system at a development consignment destination for performing the software development through development consignment from the development consigning origin via a public telephone line network, a server for managing development of the system at the development consignment origin is provided with a specification management database 41 to manage specification change information in the software development with history, a change notification managing part 43 to automatically transmit an electronic mail to a workstation for development of the system at the development consignment destination by adding information required for change notification to the electronic mail when the specification management database is changed and a homepage managing part 44 to mange a homepage to browse the specification change information by the workstation for development of the development entrusting destination.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
