PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION FOR TREATMENT OF PATIENTS IN INTENSIVE CARE UNITS AND METHOD FOR ITS PREPARATION

The invention relates to the pharmaceutical composition and the method for its manufacture. The composition contains at least 1.5% (w/v) solution of sodium chloride and other sodium salts, e.g. sodium bicarbonate. The total content of sodium ions should not exceed those in 6.9 (w/v) solution of sodium chloride or its equivalent. The composition comprises 3-18% (w/v) of one or several substances selected from hydroxyethyl derivative of the starch, dextran, carboxymethyl derivative of the starch, polyvinyl pyrrolidone, gelatin derivatives, etc. The pharmaceutical composition proposed in accordance with the invention is used for treatment of the injured patients in the intensive care units and for the treatment of the state of shock.
