摘要

PURPOSE: A measuring method of BOD(biochemical oxygen demand) is provided to measure BOD of organic waste water conveniently in a short time. CONSTITUTION: A dissolved oxygen continuous measurement system includes at least two of dissolved oxygen sensors, an incubator keeping the temperature of the sensors uniform, an amplifier for amplifying the value measured by the sensors and a computer. Non-sterilized waste water comprising organic waste waters of various concentrations and sterilized water thereof are in contact with the sensors to measure the change of dissolved oxygen value by microorganisms and maximum oxygen uptake rate(OURmax). A correlation of the measured value with a predetermined BOD is obtained. The dissolved oxygen sensors are in contact with an unknown organic waste water to output a BOD value by using the correlation.
