PURPOSE: A geographic information system(GIS) engine using a receiving coordinate by combining global positioning system(GPS) and a base station, is provided to be built up in a wireless terminal by being developed with firmware, so that exact information on positioning may be acquired by the GPS coordinate, a user interface may be simplified with one click, and the present position of a terminal holder and other persons may be confirmed in real time. CONSTITUTION: A coordinate, processed by a hybrid system and a linkage with a global positioning system(GPS) independent server, is delivered in a short message service(SMS). The GPS receiving coordinate is delivered within four seconds and displayed in an electronic map. A geographic information system(GIS) engine is built up in a wireless terminal. A user interface and a message decoder are divided. Refined maps(around five layers) are managed in the independent server.
