摘要

PURPOSE: Provided are method for treating wastewater containing heavy metals using continuous flow reactor (CSTR) packed with seaweed-derived adsorbent bead and apparatus therefor. According to this method, newly fed adsorbent bead is controlled to contact with wastewater with low heavy metal content, and adsorbent bead that has a predetermined amount of heavy metals is controlled to contact with wastewater with high heavy metal content. Also, seaweed-derived adsorbent bead is one or mixture of sea tangle, sodium alginate and waste culture media of agaric mushroom, which have excellent adsorption capacity. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus is consisted of: a wastewater inlet (11); contact reactors (31, 32, 33, 34) packed with contact media, in which each contact reactor is partitioned by a sieve plate (22) that has many holes smaller than adsorbent bead in diameter, and equipped with a butterfly valve (21) to open/close the sieve plate; an air inlet (41) located at the lowest contact reactor (31); outlets (51, 52, 53, 54) for withdrawing adsorbent beads before break point.
