PURPOSE: Provided is a wastewater treatment system using titanium oxide (TiO2) photocatalyst immobilized by sol-gel method that is free of additional plant for recovering particulate catalyst. CONSTITUTION: In the photolytic reaction tank, an aeration pipe (27) for maintaining demand oxygen above 6ppm and media (23) fixing titanium oxide is installed at an upper part of bar (25) close to the surface of the water, and an ultraviolet lamp (22) is set just over the surface, and a mirror (26) is installed to prevent light scattering. The preparation method of titanium oxide (TiO2) photocatalyst comprises (i) mixing titanium iso-properoxide (Ti£OCH(CH3)2|), iso-propanol, ethyl acetoacetate, and water at a mole ratio of 1: 40: 1: 1; (ii) adding nitric acid thereto for adjusting the pH of the solution to 2; (iii) agitating the solvent at the rate of 60 rpm at 70-80deg.C and mixing it for forming gel at the rate of 30rpm at room temperature; (iv) leaving it for 12hours followed by TiO2 dip-coating.
