PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling preventing cyma of steel sheet in hot dip plating process is provided which properly controls magnetism of each electromagnets so that the size of the cyma is minimized using distance values from three positions to the measured steel sheet by installing eddy current distance sensors and electromagnets at both sides of the front and back surfaces of the steel sheet in a width direction with spaced apart from each other in a certain distance. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises eddy current distance sensors (21a,21b,21c) installed on the upper part of a right side air knife (3) with spaced apart from each other in a certain distance; an electromagnet (22b) installed at the same position as the center eddy current distance sensor (21b); electromagnets (22a,22c) installed on the upper part of a left side air knife (3'); and a cyma operator (23) and a cyma controller (24), wherein the electromagnets (22a,22b,22c) are connected to the eddy current distance sensors (21a,21b,21c) by passing through the cyma operator (23) and the cyma controller (24) in order.
