TORSION BEAM MOUNTING STRUCTURE OF TORSION BEAM TYPE SUSPENSION SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE

PURPOSE: A torsion beam mounting structure prevents the position of a wheel from being induced to be toe out when lateral force is given to the wheel from the road surface for improved following-up performance, straight driving stability and turning stability. CONSTITUTION: Mounts(16, 18) are formed by interposing a rubber bush(24) between an inner and an outer pipes(20, 22). The inner pipe(20) is eccentrically placed to induce the position of a wheel to be toe in when the lateral force is given. The gap between the rubber bush(24) and the front part of the inner pipe(20) is different from that between the rubber bush(24) and the rear part of the inner pipe(20).
