PURPOSE: A soil pollution toxicity detecting device and method thereof are provided to simplify the manufacturing and the use of the device in a compact structure for speedily and precisely measuring the toxicity of the soil in a site. CONSTITUTION: A soil pollution toxicity detecting device includes a reactor having an inlet for a soil pollution material, a sensor(100) to which luminous microorganisms(102) are fixed by glass beads(101), and an air injecting hole, an optical detector, and an optical fiber for transmitting light emitted from the luminous microorganisms to the optical detector, wherein the detector measures an amount of the light received via the optical fiber, and the luminous microorganisms are to be bacteria GC2(lac::luxCDABE), photobacterium phosphoreum, KCTC 2852 or other recombination luminous microorganisms.
