PURPOSE: A method for analyzing resistance against earthquake of an I-shaped curve girder bridge using a computational structure analysis program is provided to efficiently and reasonably make an earthquake-resistance plan by accurately predicting movements of a curved girder bridge in case that an earthquake occurs. CONSTITUTION: Elements of a curve girder include bi-moment additionally including directional power of an axis, shearing force and moment to 2 sectional axes and torsion moment. Therefore, 7 degrees of freedom are totally equipped per joint of framework. According to that, a static movement of curve girder bridge is accurately estimated. The movement of the curve girder is different from that of straight girder in two elements. One is an effect of mutual interference. That is, warping moment and torsion moment are generated by vertical load. The other is warping normal stress.
