FIELD: treatment of water by ozonization; decontamination of water in water supply systems. SUBSTANCE: water ozonization plant includes air preparation system connected with at least one ozone generator provided with power supply source, reaction reservoir made in form of hermetic contact basin with at least one disperser located in its lower portion made in form of porous plate at size of pores of 10 to 150 mcm or in form of plate with passages having form of truncated cone whose diameters at ozone inlet and outlet are equal respectively to 180-200 mcm and 100=150 mcm; plant includes also ozone treatment system made in form of at least one injector unit connected with source of water to be atomized and located above surface of water being treated fully covering it with water being atomized at volumetric ratio of water being atomized and water being treated in contact basin equal to 1-20: 100; individual components of plant may be combined in container-type modules. Invention contains also description of water ozonization method. It is good practice to excite resonance waves and oscillations in layer of water being treated by means of at least one wave generator or shock hydraulic waves. Plant is provided with additional system for treatment of excessive ozone made in form of additional contact basin whose water inlet is communicated with water outlet of main contact basin and water outlet is communicated with water inlet of main contact basin. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency and improved quality of water treatment due to increased degree of usage of ozone; possibility of forming mobile plant consisting of modules which do not require considerable heavy capital outlays. 25 cl, 1 dwg
