The bevel gearing(7,8) of the mill through the sun wheel(23) of a first planetary gear stage drives a planet wheel(15) installed on a shaft(14) rotatably mounted in the upper section of the casing(1). An additional planet wheel(22) axially offset on the same shaft meshes with the ring gear(17) of an additional planetary gear stage. This ring gear is connected to and torsionally fixed on the pressure plate(19) of the mill. The bevel gearing as a complete module can be connected to and disconnected from the first planetary gear stage without dismantling the latter.
