H2O2 oxidation of mono- or poly-hydric alcohols is effected using a catalyst comprising: (a) an Mn sa (b) 1,4,7-tri-(1-20C alkyl)-1,4,7-triazacyclononanes (TATACN); and (c) co-ligands comprising organic compounds containing -2 OH or carboxyl groups, tosylglycine, 2-sulfobenzoic acid or 1,2-diaminocyclohexane. H2O2 oxidation of mono- or poly-hydric alcohols is effected using a catalyst comprising (a) an Mn sa (b) 1,4,7-tri-(1-20C alkyl)-1,4,7-triazacyclononanes (TATACN); and (c) co-ligands comprising organic compounds containing -2 OH or carboxyl groups, tosylglycine, 2-sulfobenzoic acid or 1,2-diaminocyclohexane.
