A learning and illustrative apparatus is assembled from bodies which roll away and has at least one continuous roll-away path for a ball(3). The learning and illustrative apparatus has at least two roll-away paths (1) of equal cross-section and equal length, each for one ball. Each roll-away path is provided with an inclined stretch. T he roll-away paths run in curves or straight lines over the same lengths or over defined part-lengths. The diameters of the balls (3) are the same for the roll-away paths. The weights of the balls deviate from one another. The balls are made from different materials or different types of wood. The speed of the balls can be measured using an electronic unit.
