Device comprises a stimulation device (15) for generation of a stimulation impulse to the heart, an electrode sensor (2) for detection of ventricular resistance (VER) signals in the heart, a blood flow sensor (9) for direct or indirect measurement of blood flow to the myocardium and a sensor for analysis and output of the signals from electrode and blood flow sensors. The electrode in a uni-polar pace maker electrode with fractal layering. A controller (8) has an alarm (18) to warn of impending heart ischaemia conditions and to send a message containing patient location and condition to a remote location.
